My good friend, Alex, actually got me this month’s beer of the month as a birthday gift. Unibroue La Fin du Monde is a tripel style ale with loads of spices and a strong yeast flavor. The beer boasts a strong 9% ABV but doesn’t taste boozy at all for being a pretty strong ale. There’s some fruity aromas and I can’t really put my finger on what exactly I’m smelling, but it smells delicious. At first, the beer hits you as a citrus-y, yeasty, well crafted Belgian beer but the after taste hits you with a bold spice flavor. I highly recommend this to any of my hop head followers. I always look up beer ratings and was shocked to see a 96 Beer Advocate score and a 100 from The Bros, but the beer lived up to the score without a doubt.
